photoblog image Bike!

Bike!

Last weekend I visited Ted near Boulder, CO after spending the scond half of the week in Denver for work. It was a very fun trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the mountains, the hospitality, and I brought back many photos. Just about every shot involving mountains turned out to be less than perfect, so you will have to make do with this partial view of a very orange bike. I am sure Ted got some decent mountain shots and may be prevailed upon to share them on his blog.

Was this in Boulder?
Martin: Yes. There is a bike store on the east(?) end of Pearl Street or maybe on a parallel street one block over. This bike was mounted on display there. The wall is bright red brick in the original version. I took this on Friday before coming over.

beautiful graphic composition martin, these colours sing off the screen at me, lovely image. mal
Martin: This must be about as un-Mal-like an image as you are likely to find. I am glad it didn't make you run for the hills smile
Nice contrast between the vivid orange and the dark background. I like it Martin !!
Martin: Thank you very much, Florence!

I agree with mal's comment. Great picture. A pity that your mountain pics didn't comply to your standards - would have liked to see them.
Martin: Thank you, Louis! This trip reminded me how much I like the mountains. I'll make sure that there are opportunities to get better mountain shots smile

I appreciate this very much: the contrast of color and texture, and superb composition. The graphics were well spotted!
Martin: I appreciate that you appreciate smile

It's the quintessential shiny bike, Martin! The fact that the tire is beige instead of black really makes the orange stand out. Very cool!
Martin: Thanks, Ginnie! As you can see the Dutch have nothing on the Boulderites when it comes to bikes smile

Plain, simple, effective, graphic and I suspect, highly commercial. Very good piece of photographic art Martin, I like it a lot. Kind regards, Neil.
Martin: Thank you very much, Neil!
This would make a fabulous commercial/advertising image. It's spotless, gleaming, punchy and graphic. A really cool shot.
Martin: Can you hear the wheels turning in my head smile I wonder what you would advertise with this shot besides orange paint.
like the vividity against the dark background...as pixelpix has pointed out this would be a good stock image...
Martin: Thanks for the visit and the very nice comment, Sam!

Woo, that's a nice looking bike, so shiny and clean too. Fabulous colours, as Mal says, they really zing. smile
Martin: This was a display outside a bike shot. I guess we should conclude that it is working as an advertisement smile
This is a great shot, worthy of framing, Martin!
Martin: You got me thinking now grin I have some empty frames somewhere around here.
