photoblog image Stairway from Heaven

Stairway from Heaven

There are many more shots to post from the West Texas excursion, but I need a break. I'll post more after this short intermission. This shot is from a fancy house turned museum in Houston.

I'll be hiking in the Grand Canyon for most of this coming week. This is more of a hiking trip than a photography trip, but I'll definitely bring my camera and try to capture some of the views. There is nothing in the queue for next week, but I promise I'll line up more from West Texas and hopefully also a few from Arizona after I get back on the 13th. Have a good weekend and a good week. I'll see you in 10 days!

I'm already looking forward to the Grand Canyon. I was there myself about 20 years ago, but I wasn't taking many pictures at the time. I remember getting very scared on some of those narrow trails above vertiginous drops.

I like the artful simplicity of this one too.

Simpicity is the shit! This is so beautiful. The blue and red are not only in perfect tones. They goes well together as well. Did you used a gel filter on a flash for the red?

Despite a brilliant color scheme, there is something wrong with the composition here, Martin. Maybe you have too much of a stair here? Some empty space on the right. You know, the shot looks much better on the thumbnail. Try to crop it square losing the empty space on the right, and see if you like it better. Otherwise, it's very entertaining.

c'est absolument magnifique !!! Superbes couleurs, j'aurais aimé prendre cette photo !
You know when the photographer is in a class apart far above the rest, when simple objects or subjects become extremely interesting or strongly emotive to the viewer.

Martin, I have not been on SC for a while but you just earned the FULL five stars with this shot!!!

LIKEY

PS. unlucky you, you'll have to wait 7 more days to notice my comment LOL
