What could be more West Texas than a cactus clinging to a crack in a crumbling slab on sandstone? Luckily for me the sky was lively on the day that I hiked up to this ridge. These clouds are the leading edge of a weather system that rendered Sunday damper and wetter than it has any business being this late in the year.

this resembles for me the 'west' that beautiful sky, those clouds, the stunning colors, love it.
