Bluebonnets
I don't have anything suitable to post for April 1st, but since the Bluebonnet, shown above at left, is the State Flower of Texas and this notion strikes me as at least somewhat preposterous, I am offering you this shot for this most foolish day.

Blue very appropriate for you Martin. Love that vast expanse
HA! I like the way you think, Martin. I had a photo up for today and switched it at the last minute when I decided it was more a Friday-the-13th image than an April Fool's one.
Martin I like it so blue.are you standing in a river bed
Great composition!
Thank you for this picture, love the blue, which is no secret, love the total view, I have to admit when this came onto my screen I just looked and sighed.......
Wonderful composition, Martin. You are certainly giving us the `low down` on Texas. (:o)
I like the immensity feeling with this low angle shot. Great contrast of colours!
Lovely, love the view
They had flying penguins on the Television news this morning! It was well done. This is well done too. In fact I think it is a superb picture.
I love your pic- and blue in different shades is my most beloved colour! There is a wonderful correspondence between earth (bluebonnets) and sky- most impressive is the fact that these flowers are blooming on this desertlike ground! The desert lives too as we know!
The low down POV really accentuates the vastness of the landscape. It seems amazing that anything can grow there.
Ingrid
I love the colors in this photo, it seems you had a great time in Texas and now so do we.
Crisp and vivid... and interesting symbolism...
Whatever it takes to get this gorgeous image on my screen is ok by me, Martin.
This is a very lonely flower, like the song of the police.
another gorgeous piece of work...
Very good ! Great view ... the flower in the foreground makes it much more interesting.
Gorgeous wide angle shot, Martin. Love that flower...one of my favorite wildflowers.
These are fantastic landscapes you are giving us MArtin. They make me want to be there... that's a real measure of their success.
The blue is just stunning Martin I love it.it's so refreshing especially seen as we have dull grey skies
Thank you for brightening my day
preposterously blue
Well it's a very fine composition - the sky & the blue of the flowers work very well together
This is an excellent image Martin! I love the crispness of the tones!
