Time to  post some shots from the Arizona excursion. Here is a powerplant near Antelope Canyon to start the whole thing off.

Masterful!

I might have called it something more like "Desertscape, with canker".

I am from a desert area of Australia, and your picture reminds me very much of the saltbush flats near my home.

You and your wonderful deep colors, Martin. I love the details in the red earth in the foreground and that sky with its line of clouds as the powerplant almost rises into the photograph (very 2001 A Space Odysseyesque)

Power plants can be quite sculptural in the landscape, can't they? I love the colours and the composition.

This is a startling composition with those three chimneys and the white steam against the blue sky. Is is really that colour in Arizona or have you tweaked it?

colours are great, I like the composition too, its funny, you'd expect a power plant like this to look out of place, a blot on the lanscape, especailly one as beautiful as this but strangely it doesn't, I guess that's more to do with your eye than reality, well done.

I love the blue sky - but I have to admit that I am captivated by the different tones in the earth here. Excellent photo!!

Those deep colors are stunning, the different colors of the earth are a good match with it, those tires tracks, the white smoke, a likey to me.
It looks like something out of a movie. Gorgeous colors and the eyes is drawn to the smoke. Wonderful!

Good example of man's intervention in the landscape.
géniale, avec ces cheminées d'usine en fond, les couleurs sont belles !
Zowie! Those colors pack a punch. Amazing image.
Seems strange to have a power plant in the middle of the desert...makes a great picture though
Fantastic potency in this image Martin ... Terrific composition and colour.
Why didn't they build it next to the senators home in the the city he lives in. Sorry I couldn't resist being naughty. richard
Somehow it makes me think of "Mad Max -beyond Thunderdome", and that is good! Great depth in the colors and a very good composition.

Beautiful color saturation! Nice composition too. I like how you made the emptiness of the landscape so colorful and interesting.
