This portrait of a seagull presented itself to me on the ferry ride from Galveston to the Bolivar Peninsular a few weekends ago. It is only minimally processed. because I liked the light and contrast the way it came from the camera.
I took quite a number of pictures this weekend, but am hard pressed to find anything I would want to post among them. To make matters worse, I can't even blame the weather. It was beautiful all weekend!

Dang, Martin! This is so fantastic that I'm clicking the Likey! It may be my favorite pic of your archives thus far. Funny, but the rust adds to the perfection of the pic for me.
Martin: Ginnie, I am happy that I grabbed this out of the archives for you!
Hi Martin ! Mr Seagull is very proud here... he knows you were taking photographs... a nice model indeed. The white well contrasts with the deep blue sky.
Martin: Wouldn't you be proud if you held sway over a whole slightly dilapidated ferry boat? Thanks for visiting, Florence!
Crisp detail. Find something in Galveston that isn't rusty. That might be the impossible shot. It was a nice weekend. Jodi and I wandered down there Saturday night because we didn't realize it was Mardi Gras weekend. It wasn't bad as we were down there around 9:00PM, but we avoided the Strand.
Martin: You are braver than me! I would have turned around as soon as I realized that it was Mardi Gras. Glad to hear that you had a good time, though. Regarding the rust, I have posted at least one Galveston picture that is free of the stuff
