Chion-In
Friday Night Shots #18. Time flies... And I really need to go out and take some fresh pictures. The last few weeks have left me too little time to go wandering around pointing a camera at stuff. This weekend doesn't look much better, but after that things should clear up.

You have seen this doorway of the Chion-In temple before. There is a rock garden next to this gate that was open at night for the annual lantern festival. You can see one of  the lanterns in the foreground. They line all the streets of the old part of Kyoto for about a week in early spring. Even though processing here is virtually the same as for the previous version (link), the trees change the atmosphere quite a bit.
