Grand Backdrop
I am back from a wonderful trip to Arizona that involved 1200 miles of driving, a hike into the Havasupai reservation on the Grand Canyon, a visit to Antelope Canyon, the Glenn Canyon Dam, and to the Meteorite Crater near Flagstaff.
This shot shows the Grand Canyon from the mouth of the river that makes the famous Havasupai falls, just to prove that I actually went. It will probably take me a day or two to visit blogs as I catch up at work and deal with some last minute tax stuff.

Looks like you had an amazing trip! Welcome back. Cool shot. Looking forward to see more.
I like azizona, I was there last summer and I enjoyed my stay there. The canyons are great and amazing. But I did missed the meteorite crater.
Wow!
And just imagine...you have happened to capture the magic stone pile that represents the treaty between the two mighty warring Indian Nations from a distant past!
Now, now - this is no prove that you went. Just that a camera like yours was there.
Great picture and composition.
WOWeeee
These blunt pebbles are so sharp......richard
I am quite envious, Martin, I have always wanted to visit that meteor crater.
Nice photo, I cant wait to see the rest.
Great tones, great picture, love the DOF, I think you had a great trip and I don't think we get a picture of you in front of some pile of stones, like Louis wants...I take your word for it... hope you got the tax stuff done....
Welcome back Martin
Great use of DOF and the composition is plaudable

Hi Martin. Isn't flagstaff where the Bigboy train is, up on some fixed rails or am i wrong? Lovely image. :o)
Very interesting idea. I like DOF. Good colours as well.
Sounds like one amazing trip you've had!

This looks like a miniature sculpture! Beautiful backdrop.
Ingrid
That was some trip! But if this is an example of what you were able to see, certainly worth it. Great photo - love the simplicity. Welcome home!
